Phenomenology Inquiry Tutorial Series (4 Sessions)

Phenomenology Inquiry Tutorial Series (4 Sessions)

This 4-part series explores using a phenomenological approach to conduct social science research. This means focusing on the things, experiences, and meanings which enable people to navigate their lives. Although phenomenological methods can take a variety of forms, they share an appreciation for subjective, located experience, the way in which context informs experience, and the role interpretation plays in developing practical knowledge. Ideal for students seriously considering phenomenology as a dissertation research method. We will explore different forms of phenomenological research and related approaches to conducting data collection and analysis. The tutorial may be done in conjunction with an ILA-B (please let us know this in advance), but this is not necessary.
