To Correlate or to Compare? The answer depends on the question you are trying to answer. In
this session, we will examine several research questions and the types of analysis used to
address them.

Topics we will cover:

  • T-tests
  • ANOVA
  • Bivarriate correlations

What you will wake away:

  • An understanding of two types of quantitative analysis in social science research
  • The language around understanding correlational and comparative analysis
  • Basic knowledge of when a research question suggests using comparative or
  • correlational analysis
  • Answers to those questions you’ve always wanted to ask
