Comparative Statistics (concepts and two group comparisons-t-tests)

Comparative Statistics (concepts and two group comparisons-t-tests)

HOST: Julie I. Johnson, PhD

OVERVIEW

These sessions are designed to be hands-on and provide you with guidance on how to: run statistical tests using data from a shared dataset, interpret the output, and relate the output to findings in real journal articles. We’ll also talk about how you present your data in a learning achievement, dissertation chapter, or journal article. You will work with datasets and have some homework between sessions.

NOTE: You will have the best experience if you can access Antioch Remote Access SPSS or have a copy of the program resident on your computer. That said, you may also participate without doing the hands-on activities.

PRE-REQUISITES
You should have a basic understanding of the statistical concepts for descriptive, comparative and correlational study designs.

These sessions are for AU PhDLC students only. They are not intended for Year 1 students.
