Writing in an Academic Voice/Tone

Writing in an Academic Voice/Tone

Dear Students: This workshop is geared towards first or second year students, or for anyone else, who may be wanting to inquire more about achieving an academic tone in their work. What is a scholarly voice? How is it cultivated and maintained? What is the key to that sweet spot of using your own voice and quoting others in your work? It reminds me of the bat---you become a bit of a hybrid. :) Please come to the session to join in this conversation and gain skills and confidence in your writing voice. Warmly, Dr. Elaine Gale, Writing Center Director for Antioch's GSLC
