These sessions are designed to be hands-on and provide you with guidance on how to: run statistical tests using data from a shared dataset, interpret the output, and relate the output to findings in real journal articles. We’ll also talk about how you present your data in a learning achievement, dissertation chapter, or journal article. You will work with datasets and have some homework between sessions.
NOTE: You will have the best experience if you can access Antioch Remote Access SPSS or have a copy of the program resident on your computer. That said, you may also participate without doing the hands-on activities.
There are no explicit prerequisites. It will help if you have attended a few quantitative sessions at a residency or participated in a inter-residency session focused on SPSS or quantitative concepts, but you are also welcome to join in, listen, lurk, or actively participate regardless of your background.
These sessions are for AU PhDLC students from Year 1 through completion of their dissertation.
